Leon Wynne
Director

Leon is a Noongar Elder and founding member of BKI and Chairperson 2019 to 2022.
He is qualified as a Mechanical Fitter and worked for Western Power at the Muja Power Station in Collie.
He was a skilled Labourer  in the shearing industry for many years.
Leon worked as an Aboriginal, Islander Education Officer with the Education Department using his trade skills to teach woodwork and metalwork with Aboriginal students.
He is a former South West Aboriginal Land & Sea Council Area Manager for the native title region of Wagyl Kiap/Southern Noongar. 

Leon is currently employed at Curtin University as the WOW Coordinator with specific roles inclusive of Community Development and student recruiting.

​Beananging Kwuurt Institute (BKI) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation located in Queens Park Western Australia, who offer emergency relief for families in the community who are experiencing hardship, and work to benefit the Aboriginal community.
