Take a journey to explore your creative side on Whadjuk Boodja at BKI with our Beananging Kwuurt Art Group in Queens Park. Come and learn art techniques to help tell your cultural stories in an creative painterly way, We are a group of Aboriginal Women from different language groups. Many of us are just starting out learning to paint and telling our stories in a safe relaxed place. A place to be together for yarning, sharing and learning from each other and from our art teacher.
At BKI we help each other with tidying up, cleaning, cooking together and supporting each other.

Our Art Day – Wednesday 10 am – 3pm
Each Wednesday during school term!
This day is for those who want to learn more about art and art techniques from painting to drawing from our Art Teacher and when possible, guest artists. Please bring your own lunch. Email us here if you would like to join the class.
Our Yarny Art Day – Thursday 10 am- 1pm
This is our day for safe yarning about our health, our family, our community plus more while doing art, crafts, storytelling and more in a relaxed way. A healthy lunch is also provided on Thursdays courtesy of the Department of Health.
While ‘BKI Art Group’ will supply basic materials, bring along your colouring/craft/art/writing projects.
Feel free to bring food to share or even show us how to cook your favourite recipe.
